Privacy Policy for Dev Path

Last updated: 1 October 2026

The short version: Dev Path collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. What little the app remembers is stored only on your device, and it never leaves it.

Dev Path is an offline interview-preparation and career app for Android and iOS, published by TasteMates Labs LLC ("we"). This policy explains what the app does with information on your device.

Information we collect

None. Dev Path does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal or device information. There is no account and no sign-in. The app contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking software, and no third-party code that sends data anywhere.

What the app stores on your device

To remember your progress between sessions, the app keeps three things in its own private storage, which other apps cannot read:

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. You can remove it at any time:

Device backups

Android: the app disables Android's automatic backup, so this data is not copied to your Google account.

iOS: like the data of any app, it may be included in your own iCloud or computer backup if you have device backups turned on. Those backups are controlled by you and Apple. We have no access to them.

Network access

Dev Path makes no network requests. All of its content is bundled inside the app, and it works identically offline or in airplane mode. On Android, the INTERNET permission appears in the app's manifest because the framework it is built on declares it; the app itself never uses it.

Permissions

Dev Path requests no permissions that ask for your approval, on either platform. It cannot access your camera, microphone, location, contacts, files, photos or notifications.

On Android, the manifest declares VIBRATE, which Android classifies as a normal permission: it is granted at install, produces no prompt, and gives access to no data. It is used only for a short haptic tap when you mark something complete. On iOS, haptic feedback needs no permission at all.

Children

Dev Path is intended for a general audience, primarily students and early-career software engineers. Because it collects no information from anyone, it collects none from children.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changes how information is handled, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top of this page will change.

Questions about this policy can be sent to TasteMates Labs LLC at support@tastematesapp.com. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, and we use them only to reply to you. This happens entirely outside the app.
